Member Since: April 2003 Posts: 0 Send Message	James was born in 1854 (Cork - according to 1891 census) and Married in April 1875. He died in 1899 - his death certificate (and marriage cert alike) states the name James Donovan, but no mention of middle names on any source. I haven't managed to find James on another census. But by 1881 he had three children Mary A (1875), John (1877) and Patrick (1880). I have Patrick's military records, and he was born in Cardiff, so I assume that the others were too.

	When was James born/married - is it possible mum was married to a Timothy Donovan before she married Dennis Donovan? OR did Timothy prefer the name Dennis and used it all the time?

I have James Donovan's marriage certificate to Johanna Driscoll - but on the certificate James father is Timothy Donovan, although other contacts have stated that James father was Dennis Donovan. So now I'm slightly confuzzled to say the least! Additionally, one of the witnesses was Honora Donovan...

	Well for the 1881, just go to ancestry, click on 1881 Wales and you will see that there is a box for the street address: But if you know the names and the addresses, why do you want to do it that way? Member Since: April 2003 Posts: 0 Send Message	Hi all, I wondered if anyone can tell me how I go about searching by an address on the 1871 and/or 1881 census? I have access to Ancestry. The addresses I have are 34 North William Street, Cardiff (Donovans) and Love Lane, Cardiff (Driscolls) I'm sure someone mentioned it before, but I can't find the thread... Many thanks for your help.
