I have found some family on the 1851c but I cant read the mothers occupation it says............... wife. Please can someone have a look to see if they can read it. It is on H0107/2138 Reg Dis -Newark Sub- Bennington ED - 8a Folio - 279 Pg 11 Sch No-47 GSU No 87768 The ladys name is Mary Jaques and it is the third line from the bottom. Thanks Jayne

Can't find it with your ref. Can you confirm Mary is Jaques and not Jacques? Which county and town is she in and what is her birthyear?

Its very hard to read but it could be Grocers Wife? In 1861 she is a widow and her occupation is Dressmaker. Georgina.

Wow that was quick. And you were all helpful as usual. Thankyou for your help. Now I just have to find the missing husband. Why couldnt people be more considerate back then and wait until the census before they passed away. lol. I will look for him tomorrow. Getting late now. Thankyou
