I know I'm extremely dim, but I think I've taken the biscuit this time! lol. Just installed FTM software and can't find out how to upload a gedcom. Can you help in words of one syllable please! jeanette x

I hope I've got this right .... but I'm sure that once you've got the software installed, if you open up your Gedcom, it will automatically open up into FTM. Mandy :)

Excellent Mandy! So if I download my gedcom from here and click to open it, it should automatically open in FTM?

Jeanette, if it doesn't automatically open in FTM then right-click on the file and select 'Open with' and then select FTM from the options you get. Kate.

Oops, sorry, forgot to come back and check sooner lol! Did it work? (although you're probably doing the school run about now) Sometimes people send me Gedcoms as email attachments, and when I double click to open them, they always come straight up in FTM, which is why I made the suggestion. Mandy :)
