Thanks for your suggestions, I had a look on the help section, but there doesn't seem to be any way of ignoring these'errors'! How frustrating! Lynn |

Oops my mistake. The report i referred to is under 'tools',it does a quick date check (things like kids born before the parents due to sloppy typing..........yes i have done it,kids born 35 years before the parents!!) It's not the full data error report, which is the one i think you mean. Glen |

I believe there are a number of options for dealing with errors, but most refer to the messages you get when entering information. Click on Help then search for entries on Data Errors. As far as the Data Errors Report is concerned, there are only a couple of options. Run your report and click on contents, options. I dont think you can skip dob date checks though this way. |

Sorry to sound dense, Glen, but where is the 'Ignore checked errors' facility? Lynn |

There is an 'ignore all checked errors' facility. If you check each reported error and acknowledge it they should no longer appear in future error reports. If it doesn't work have you looked at the online help centre? Glen |

I wonder if anyone can help with a FTM 2005 problem. I like to look at the Data Errors Report, which obviously lists missing dates and other possible mistakes. What I would like to do is to be able to delete those that aren't actually mistakes, such as a child being born before the parents' marriage or more than 20 years after it. I have quite a few large families in my tree, so this one comes up often! Can anyone tell me how to delete tham and make my Error list shorter? Many thanks Lynn |
