Raymond You may already know this - if so, apologies. There is a vast army of Quayles on the Isle of Man in the 16th,17th,18th and 19th centuries. Olde Crone |

I can't find the James Quayle aged 2 or 8 that you mention. Nor can I find the Quayle family I have in 1881. |

While trying to find the children of a James Quayle and his wife Elizabeth Hadwin. An Elizabeth Quayle c1878 all of Whitehaven Cumberland, the husband James was killed in a mining accident in 1890. I came across in the 1891 census Whitehaven RG12/4313 page 19 Dist 6 a mention of a James Quayle of which I cant be sure of his age it could be 2 or 8 if 2yrs he must have been born just before James died but 2 or 8 I can find no record of him. I can also find nothing of Elizabeth after 1881 in marriages or death, can some please put me on the right track. |
