Hi a family member has been told her brother is adopted can any one help me with which place or site I need to be searching in to find out if this is true. THANKS

Wayne There is a thread on this board entitled 'Adoption/hints and hugs from other adoptees*Chapter 5*' There are also 4 other threads with the same title further down the board just with different numbers. Hi Wayne This is a good site www(.)afteradoption(.)co(.)uk The best advise to your friend is if they seriously want to trace their natural family, then they need to contact their local social services giving every detail they can - even if it's just their name now and date of birth. Depending on when they were adopted, they may have to have a councilling session (usually to go through the high's and lows of search and re-union and why they want to search) before being given any details held on file. It's certainly no picnic and shouldn't be embarked on without some serious thinking time. I'm pleased to say for me everything worked out fine Best wishes and good luck to your friend Elly :)
