Jeremiah's age seems to change all the time! He must have been quite old when he got re-married to Catherine!

Hi, I think I have found Denis Driscol with wife Sarah (born Somerset) and young Jeremial age2 and father Jeremiah on the 1871 Wales. All living together. Jere. snr age out but who knows. 1881 Dennis and Sarah and three children in Roath, Wales. See what you think. No sign of Catherine or Mary though.

ahhh... but where does Catherine come into it? no wonder we've had difficulty finding their marriage certificate, we've been looking at te wrong time! any luck on 1871? thanks for everything so far!! much appreciated!

When did Mary and Walter marry - will they be together on the 1871 ?

Mary Norris (nee Driscoll) died in 1898 and Walter Norris in 1916. Jeremiah died in 1894 and Catherine in 1899 (she outlived her daughter). We think Catherine's maiden name was Crolly, but could be Crowley/Crawley!

ooh, by the way, Mary's husband was Walter Norris (b1840 in Cardiff). And Mary's middle initial is A! Thanks again!

I wonder if anyone of you lovely, clever people could help me? I'm looking for my Great Great Grandmother (Mary Norris nee Driscoll b 1847 Cardiff) and her parents Jeremiah & Catherine Driscoll (b 1824 and 1820 respectively) on the 1871 census. I've found them on the '81 living at East Cottages, in Llandaff, Cardiff, but can't find them earlier! I've tried Briscoll instead of Driscoll (that seems to be a common mis-transcription) but no luck! Has anyone got any ideas? Many thanks and kind regards, Suzanne
