Thanks Fuzzy. It's just let me enter a first name of someone with no problems (I've had a run of luck today & found 3 names I've been missing). It won't let me change a ? to a surname though and it won't let me delete the record. I will NOT be beaten! Trudi

SSSooo- == - What's the new surname then?????????? Perhaps we could connect before GR let you add it ?? Dea X P.S. - You will have to be quick - I thought I had a cough (probably a bit of hayfever), but I went 'round the corner to the 'Spar'. Bought 1 packet of cough sweets + a bottle of brandy (for the throat). + 'special treats' - Am sitting here looking at my treats - 1 Mars dou, 2 chocolate crunchie bars (1 for my husband when he comes home), 1 double bounty bar and a wallnut whip (OOOppps ate that one - no longer exists!!!!!). If you need any help - best put up the details before I move on from the chocolate and get stuck into the cough sweets + brandy. Dea x

Dee - fancy you replying on this thread! The surname I am trying to input is linked to a SHAW. Well small world. Did your Shaws originate in Scotland? Trudi :0)

Sorry Trudi, Most of my Shaw's are from Eccles + Salford, Lancashire - I DID find a scottish person but she was NOT a Shaw. Best wishes, Dea x

Well Dee, Before you start on the brandy I've found Martha Day m Mark Cruse in 1806 in Norfolk. Their daughter Margaret m James Shaw & they had 8 children. This site let me input Mark's christian name, but not Martha's surname! I haven't found Mark's birth though the marriage and Marthera's birth was in Yarmouth! I'm just off to open a bottle of wine to celebrate! Good wishes to all Trudi
