I have an uncle who died March 1941, he was in the Royal Scots Battalion and was killed during an air raid in London. I cannot find his death recorded on BMD on Ancestry. Any ideas please? M.

The bit with parents and wife details on is from the cwgc site. The death reg details were from the images on ancestry - note the death was registered in the name of MERITT not MERRITT

Hi Morfydd I suggest you try G**gling air raids in Hull for March 1941. There seems to be a lot of detailed accounts on the web, you might get lucky with some additional information. On 31 March the ARP control centre was apparently hit. This could tie in with the CWGC info and the death reference for Hull Hope you find this of help. Helen
