Thankyou Horatia Am now sifting through the various ages given on the census (6 yer range) and a death ref that ties in with the dissappearance in the census returns. That gives me one very strong match in the baptism records and a match on here (out by 4 years.) Thankyou Glen

Two good online sites are: http://apling.freeservers(.)com/index.htm http://www.norfolkhistory(.)co.uk/ Paddy Apling's site has a broader range, while Honor Jones puts English based researchers to shame. She has been producing indexes for as long as I can remember, largely for North East Norfolk.

The last post by Heather lists a worthwhile site,shame that the only marriage with an uncertain bride for the parish i want is mine!!! Should you find a link to any families named Elmer,Howell or Bradfield all in the Mitford district mostly North Elmham,Billingford and Worthing just give me a shout. George, have you tried the Norfolk Transcription Archive website. It has a lot of transcribed parish records there, but not sure if all yours are covered. Have a google for it. Well worth a look. BTW, there are Musketts alive and kicking in this area (around Norwich) still.

Immediate families are English, Margarson, Muskett, Dack, Swann, Feary, Osler & Brighton. Slightly removed family names include Empson, Register & Porter George

Fancy adding some surnames? I have Norfolk Marriages 1801 - 1837 and St Andrews Hospital Admissions 1846 - 1900. St Andrews was Norfolk's lunatic asylum. Don't be offended because you didn't have to be a lunatic to be in there! Some of these people were suffering from Depression (clinical and post natal) epilepsy or had suffered strokes. If you could pair the surnames up with the areas or make specific named person requests that would be great! Cheers, Horatia (Horatia not Horatio)! Hi everyone, As the majority of the ancestors in my tree are from Norfolk, I'd appreciate knowing of any online resources that may provide more details than just the census records. Most of these ancestors were simply 'Agricultural Labourers' with the occasional farmer, publican or blacksmith, so are unlikely to be mentioned in court papers (unless they've been naughty) or be members of professional bodies.
