I ordered a couple of certs from GRO last month and I'm still waiting. Do they use pigeon post for addresses abroad? How do you know the dispatch date? I've got my reference number, etc. and I've looked on the GRO site but can't find a place to click. HEEELP PLEASE |

Sounds as though you should telephone them or send an e-mail if there is an address on the site. |

The despatch date is shown on your completed order. But give them a ring anyway - I had some come a week early last week and now Ive got one running a week late. |

Yes, they use 'pigeon post' for all the orders. If you placed the order online, then a despatch date would have been given when the application was processed. You can ring them ... but since your obviously abroad, then possibly not feasible ? Elaine ;-) here's there e.mail addy: For all enquiries relating to online ordering please email: col(.)admin at ons(.)gsi(.)gov.uk ... remove all brackets and change at - no spaces ! Thanks Heather and Elaine, You're right. I've found the date. I had saved my order details in a Word document so it wasn't so easy to see. The despatch date is tomorrow so I'll have to wait a bit longer. |

What a good idea Heather. I usually print it out but then it gets lost in all the other bits of paper. lol I will do that in future. Thanks for the idea, Jean |
