Not quite sure what you mean here. If you wish to look at the BMD data on Ancestry, and you don´t subscribe to Ancestry, I believe you need to register with the site first. Other than that I don´t know of any log in procedure.

Was under the impression that you had to register before looking at the free BMD - maybe I was wrong. Perhaps registration was only needed for looking at the complete images.

Elaine i have been looking through the files for months and never had to sign in or register, just wondering why now all of a sudden!

Puzzled as I've always had to register. I used to be a subscriber, for a quarter. Then I cancelled, but remained registered as a user. I used to log in with my existing username, but I now have an annual subscription. Nothing has changed about my log in, just what I can actually see when I get on site. nell

Lee When you used the site in the past, did it say 'Welcome Lee' or something else when you got on the homepage? If so,you probably have a username already and ancestry recognised your computer. Have you changed computers or deleted cookies recently? nell

If you are looking through the program - I mean clicking on the web resource search and getting lots of padlocks it probably means you havent registered the program with ancestry. If you go to the top click on the help tab - I think that has the registration option.
