I live in Santa Rosa, North California. I just recently started my family tree and being from england I realise how hard it is to get some info without being able to go look at records, gravestones etc. I'd like to be able to offer help to anyone who might have relatives on their trees that ended up in Sonoma County California. But i'm not sure where to post the message that people might find it. I'm a total amateur so I may need hints about where to look for things, but i'll do whatever i can to help. Helen P.S. if you get confused about my name i share an account with my sister and brother in law ;) |

What a very kind offer - Unfortunately I don't need any help over there but I know that others will appreciate it. Why not just put up a thread - something like ''I live in California - I will help you if I can - what do you need??' and just keep nudging it. Dea Xxx Or - having just looked back on the title you have put - why not just change it to 'Help offered from California' ?? Dea x |

Yes, I think so, I, personally find it the most helpful and the most friendly. I am sure your offer will be noticed on here. Dea x |

Phil, there is a website called Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness (google for it) where people all over the world offer help in their own areas. |
