You will have to visit/contact the Records Office that covers Conway. They should hold the parish records. Sam x

On the same page as you were reading, but further up, it says, ''Colwyn district, originally assigned in 1844 and re-arranged in 1872, consists of the townships of Eirias, Colwyn, and Cilgwyn, out of the parish of Llandrillo; a portion of Llanelian, and the hamlets of Graig out of the parish of Llysfaen. '' and ''In 1831- this was not a separate parish'' Taken together, I think this means the parish didn't exist until after 1831. The Bap you want is from before that date, when the parish came under the names in the top bit, above. His baptism may be at Llandrillo, Llanelian or Llysfaen. The Parish Registers for those three parishes have been deposited at the Denbighshire Record Office, Ruthin. Merry

I have been trying to get the baptism for Mesech Williams born 1823, Colwyn, Denbighshire, I've been on Genuki to look up Colwyn and they say no Bishops Transcripts have been deposited for the parish of Colwyn, and no official IGI entries for Colwyn. Doe's this mean there is no way of getting a baptism for my rellie or am I just being thick? Please help cus I'm going insane on this one!!
