hello to any hilditch people. I'm trying to find any information about my grandfather.His name was ARTHUR HILDITCH his DOB i dont really know maybe between 1880--1900 i think he was from manchester area he married an irish woman

Have you got the marriage cert with his Fathers name and occupation on ...? How do you know he married an Irish lady ? Did they have any children ? if so, names and years of birth/districts would help us to help you .. So, Arthur married Rita O'shea. She was born 1902 and they had a son born 1940. Have you got their Marriage cert ? It will give you both the ages at marriage and also the Fathers names and occupations. Did they marry in Manchester or Ireland do you know ? Elaine ;-) They married in Manchester March qtr 1940 8d, 723 Arthur Hilditch BUT Her name was MARGARET O'Shea ... not Rita so maybe this is not the correct marriage ?? but it's the only Arthur Hilditch marrying an O'Shea between 1938 - 1942.
