cert times from GRO ?

Having been on holiday fro a few weeks .........I was wondering if the waiting time for certs from GRO have got any better.......how long are they taking now ...?.......Esta |

I ordered a cert on the 26th of May and the estimated date was 15th of June. It arrived on the 9th June!! so it looks like about 2 weeks at the moment. |

Hi Esta Hope you had a good holiday. I ordered some cert on 5 June.........the depatch date is 21 June..........so lets wait and see LOL.....no doubt come whilst I am on my Jollies from 26th . |

One I ordered last week May despatch date 15th June arrived today. Quite sad too. Edwin Smith: It's my gt. x2 grandfather died aged 20 of a cerebral abscess. My gt.grandmother was 18 months and another baby was either on the way or born. |

I am off to The Smoke tomorrow for 3 days to do some research and I hope that the two certs I am waiting for arrive by then. Two, which I sent off as a Priority arrived today but eagerly await the delivery of two more. Ben |

It still pays to have a look at the service from the local office whereever possible. Usually quicker than the GRO and often a copy of the original cert,not the transcribed GRO version. Glen |
