Ann Eliza Duffield married Thomas John Wood 1855 Bermondsey Family in 1861: Ann E Wood abt 1836 St Georges Southwork, Surrey, England Wife Rotherhithe Surrey Thomas John Wood abt 1835 Rotherhithe, Surrey, England Head Rotherhithe Surrey Charles Wood abt 1861 Rotherhithe, Surrey, England Son Rotherhithe Surrey John Wood abt 1858 Rotherhithe, Surrey, England Son Rotherhithe Surrey Thomas Wood abt 1857 Rotherhithe, Surrey, England Son Rotherhithe Surrey John Duffield abt 1838 St Georges Southwork, Surrey, England Lodger Rotherhithe Surrey Thomas Duffield abt 1840 St Georges Southwork, Surrey, England Lodger Rotherhithe Surrey Can find Ann in 1851 census (with mother & siblings) and 1841 census (with both parents & siblings); can find both brothers in later censuses with their wives and families (all still around Rotherhithe). Cannot find Ann or sons after 1861 census. There is an entry for death of a Thomas John Wood aged 34 in 1868 in Lambeth which is a possibility. But even if Ann remarried, what happened to the boys? May have taken stepfather’s name, I suppose. Can’t immediately find an obvious remarriage for Ann. Any help most gratefully received. Carol

Dear Esta, Sorry for the delay in responding. Thank you so much for finding these entries. I think they are very likely, and I will follow them through. It seemed feasible that Thomas may have died but not all four of them! I am truly grateful for your help - you have renewed my enthusiasm :-)) Kindest regards, Carol

Dear Brenda, Apols for delay in replying. Thank you for discovering this death reference. Esta has given me some leads on the rest of the family, and it may well be that Ann left them and took herself off. It has certainly given me more to think about and to pursue. Thank you again for your help with this. Kind regards, Carol
