Reading surnames on certificates

I haven't had this problem myself, but I believe that you can get in touch with the office where you bought the certificate and ask them either to clarify the name or let you have a better copy.

I'm trying to work out my Gt Nan's Mothers maiden name but its not very clear on the certificate. I've scanned it to my computer, is there any software i can use to try and make her name out?
