My grandmother Emily Owens was born in Rhos, Denbighshire in 1893. On the 1901 census her mother (Emily Jane c1855) and she were not with the rest of the family and I can't find them anywhere. I have searched on initials & full names Owens, Owen, Owins .. Can anyone think of combingation else I could possibly search under? I am at a loss and as she was only 8 at the time couldn't have gone very far. Many thanks. Ali |

Sorry if it is obvious, but have you actually checked the mage or just the transcription because sometimes different fmily members are given the surnames of the people above them. Post the details of who you are looking for here and we'll see what we can do. tom |

Hi, it may or may not help but the name of the area is now Ponciau. Ponkey was/ is the shortened version used by the locals. |
