Apprenticeship records - if his has survived, it will probably name & give abode of his father, and possibly age of apprentice. I believe these records are in London, but not sure where. Jay

I have an ancestor who was an apothecary. He was apprenticed in 1774 (as a chemist) to a 'firm', possibly in London (18th century Medics). As I am in Australia, can anyone offer advice on further avenues of research? Josephine
