Going to France November to visit my g-grandads war grave. Something I have always wanted to do, pay my respects and all that. Gonna stay in Rouen for a long weekend.Anyone ever been? Thanks Catherine xx |

Hi Catherine, Haven't visited that particular cemetery, but do try to visit war grave cemeteries here and abroad whenever I can. Enjoy your visit and the opportunity to pay your respects. I am always very moved by the sheer number of graves, of all nationalities, and it has always humbled me and made me question the validity of wars - so many men cut down in their prime, so many grieving families at home, whose lives would never be the same again.
