That's like saying which parish would my relatives in Surrey have gone to? If they wree Catholic they would probably have attended the Catholic church nearest their home. This is the list of IGI batch numbers for Ireland (you can find the county you want and then search the parish records online) http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers/CountryIreland.htm Not every parish is on the IGI so you may need to go elsewhere. nell |

Can anyone tell me how to work out which parish in county mayo my family would have gone to / been registered with etc? i believe they would have been roman catholic........there details are John Rowley born 1810 (head). Catherine Freney born 1822 (wife) born in county mayo. with sons of Patrick, Thomas, and Owen born in the early to mid 1840s in Mayo also. Please help! Thank you for taking the time to read this. |
