have received file from g.r. and saved as suggested, now how do I import/export into ftmaker and tribal pages. jean

First thing to do is to export your tree from here as a gedcom file. Go to import/export tree on the left and then follow the instructions Export your family tree to a Gedcom file. You will now have to wait until GR send you an email with the file as an attachment. Once you have the file, save it somewhere you can remember, My Documents, for example. You then import the file into FTM and Tribal pages.

I have just re-connected to my old computer, would like step by step help on how to transfer my tree from genes onto tribal pages and ftmaker. bit of a computer idiot, so please explain clearly. thanks jean
