Lindy, old merseytimes is my fav site and i reccomend reading the plight of fever sheds it is so sad!! another great site for heartbreaking stories in Liverpool is the Brown babies site and how they were abandoned during the wars nobody would take them in because they were mixed race, dad was American GI mum english girl anyway i won't spoil it heres the link brown babies http://www(.)muskogee007(.)com MOE!x |

here is a link to a web site with loads of info on liverpool and surrounding areas like st helens. there is so much stuff its great. they are mostly extracts from old newspapers etc.. going back as far as 1849 . there are loads of catagories. i loved it and hope you will too http(:)//www(.)old-merseytimes(.)co(.)uk/index(.)html remember to take off the brackets love linda x x |
