I've sent a reply privately. But I don't think it says where the wife's father was from and if he has a first name, I can't see it! nell

Val there's a Sunhope Burn in Peebleshire, Scotland - I googled. I think burn is a Scots/Northern word. Robertson is a Scottish surname. nell

BIGGAR rambling club 2003 Venlaw and Shieldgreen Kipps, Peebles, led by G. Bakker. Four walkers set out on a relatively warm and wind still day, from the station car park, Peebles, to Shieldgreen Kipps. The walk skirted Venlaw, following the road to Glenvield, then across **Sunhope Valley** to join the forest road to Shieldgreen Centre. A steady climb up Tower Rig, through the east side of Shieldgreen Kipps to the top to view new Bowbeat wind farm, and the magnificent views to the west past Tinto Hill, Cardon Hill and Coulter Fell, and to the north the Pentlands, with hills just visible. The walkers returned following the new track downhill to join the forest road leading to east of **Sunhope Burn**, and then to base via Glenbield So Janet Fairgrive's father was a tenent in Sunhope Burn, no name given for him.
