Thanks Susanne, I meant father not parents anyway but if they're not on it doesn't matter. I have their parents, I think, just wanted to make sure.

Parents aren't named on certs before 1837. But as you have an exact date and a parish, if you e-mail Cumbria records office,they may well be able to send a copy of the entry in the register for a small sum. nell

Does anyone please have access to any Cumberland Parish Records. I'm looking for a marriage between John Fothergill and Ann Hudson at Greystone, Cumberland on 28th May 1836. I found it on LDS but I would love to know if the parents names are on the record as they are not on LDS. Jean
