I don't know about you lot but I love it when I can help someone with their tree and get a 'Thanks'. Gives me a good feeling and puts me on a high! And yes I'm human and get a bit miffed when I give access to my tree, copies of certs ect and don't even get an acknowledgement let alone a thanks. Well today my HIGH is through the roof and I just had to share this..... I had a Hot Match contact me and to cut a long story short I was able to help her back several generations on one line and provide copies of various certificates. Today I received a bunch of flowers with a thank you card......I was choked! Chris<<< Whos high will probably last longer than the flowers :))))))

Aw, that's lovely. It makes it all worthwhile doesn't it. What a lovely gesture, it gives you a really warm feeling just thinking about it. I bet you can't stop smiling right now. Bex x

Thats lovely Chris. And yes Im the same, only today I helped someone out after they had put a request on for help and even though its hard to tell in this virtual world I felt that not enough thanks or prehaps entheusiam came my way.....I will admit I analised it to bits and came to the conclusion its my fault for helping and if I dont get the thanks I expect thats my problem too......its a cruel world sometimes. Me too. Most people I do look-ups for are grateful, even if I take months to get round to it and/or fail to find what they're hoping for anyway. Before I joined Ancestry lots of GR members did look-ups for me (thank you Victoria Barry, Ian Donaldson, Geoff Everitt, Lorraine Jordan, Gillian Lighton, Sandra Lloyd, Alec Norwell, Debbie Norwell, Viveka Phillips, Sheila Roberts, Kate in Notts, Netti in Worcestershire and sorry to anyone I've forgotten), so once I joined I thought I ought to return the favour.
