Thanks for looking for me Julie & Suzanne. I haven't tried that other way of getting in - I'll give it a go now Thanks again Sarah :-) UPDATE : I just tried that... clicking on 1925, & it only gave me a choice of the 1st 3 Q's :-( |

Oh Looby, it looks like you found them ... I found the Davies reg & he's William J H S Davies! Thank you! Sarah :-) Should I tell ancestry that the 1925 Q4 K's are missing? Has anyone else managed to get into them? |

Thanks Looby -I'll have a look at 1924 I'm quite happy to trawl & then work by elimination for the area (with 2 really common surnames I know I'm in for a bit of detective work!) Did you manage to get the Kings for 1925 Q4? I tried all the tricks I know (not many admittedly!) but I couldn't get any K's for that Q. Sarah :-) |

Hi Suzanne, No, I'm using the right index - I got the other quarters up ok, it's just Q4 that is showing nothing at all for K's Sarah :-) Thunder's started - won't be long before it rains - at least the washing's not in for an extra rinse outside! |

Hi Sarah I managed to get the Kings up on Ancestry - the only one I can find that seems right is a Winifred M that married a Davies Dec Qtr 1924 in Loddon. If this sounds right I would be happy to send you the image, but I can't find the 'matching' entry for your man.] I will only be here for a few more minutes, or I will be back in the morning. Regards looby |

Hi Sarah, I think you are probably using the wrong index on ancestry? There are two, partial which only covres upto about 1910 (although it says 1984!!!) and the complete which you have to trawl 1/4 by 1/4. Suzanne |

I'm looking for a marriage (don't know where though so I'm looking for all possibles) William J Sinnett Davies Winifred Mary King They had their first child in 1926 as far as I know so I've been trying ancestry bmd images for 1925. Because I'm not sure if William's surname is double barrelled (loads of the family have the 'Sinnett' before the 'Davies' I'm looking for Winifred first. I can't get ANY K surnames at all to come up on ancestry for 1925 Q4....(I've tried all kinds of names & wildcards trying to at least get into the K's & scroll though afterwards..) Has anyone got any ideas or have ancestry simply not got them....? Sarah :-) |
