I have some ancestors whose records state their place of birth as Dr William's Library, London. I know they were born in Bristol and Bath. Does this mean the records were found there, and could the brithdates be births or Baptisms? |

When you say you have 'some records', which records do you mean, and how do you know they were born in Bristol and Bath? Kath. x |

Elizabeth, Dr. Williams Library was a register for baptisms of families who were members of a non-conformist church. ie, not Church of England. Google Dr. Williams Library and you'll get a number of sites giving you more info. Rebs x also in Brisbane. |

I have an entire family from the early 1800's registered there. Certs are moderately informative. assuming the info was available, the certificates give the childs name (obviously) names of both parents and the mothers parents names. also address the child was born at, parish, county and the names of those present at the birth. |
