Val, youd think that wouldnt you - I should be rich so why arent I?? I guess the old entrepreneural skills must come from my genes somewhere! Anyway, you go and check it out. I bet you could save yourself or make yourself a few hundred quid at least reading those articles. I meant to tell son about the getting into the VIP lounge for zilch tip they had on there, he is off to New York tomorrow and has already followed Martin Lewis tips on how to get a free upgrade on the flight! Ill let you know if he gets one. |

Its a brilliant website, Id love all my mates on here to join up. Ive just been on there now and sent my son an email because he is currently paying £20 a month for his mortgage protection insurance - he is only 25 - Ive just been on Martin Lewis site and found out the best insurer for this type of policy for youngsters - £7.80 for the same cover from day one of any illness or unemployment. So son will save what £140 a year by swopping. Everyone, do go to the site - they have so many bits of info about deals and how to save money or get freebies - all above board but quite often sneaky ways to increase savings or cut debts - brilliant I think the only problem is that it has so MANY articles on savings and tips that you can miss them by not clicking on the right links etc. I shall go back and look at that webcard. Did you see the new card for saving 5% on allyour petrol costs? www*MoneySavingExpert*com |

Thanks, Heather. What a useful website. I've signed up for the newsletter as well, and came across a useful article about a webcard which you can use for buying online, which is safer than using your normal credit card. I might follow that up. Thanks for recommending the site. |

I subscribe to Martin Lewis' money tips forum - he is the guy on tv who goes round slashing peoples outgoings - do google his site Martin Lewis Money Tips - he can save you a small fortune. Anyway re the recent thread about Credit Reports, got this mail from him today: Everyone can now get their credit information for free. New Company launches. A new Annual Credit Report service has launched in a blaze of publicity offering a free annual credit report, yet so far it's only rolled out in Cornwall and Devon. Donnae fear though, anyone can get a free credit report by expoloiting a loophole; simply sign up for a free 30 day trial of either (or both) Experian's Credit Expert* or Equifax's Credit Watch* get your report, then cancel the service |
