I know some are on the LDS site but if you want to search for the ones that are not there are they kept at the records office at Kew? Also are the records for overseas births for military personals children kept there. As I thought if I find time to visit I will kill two birds with one stone so to speak!!!!! |

The LMA website will list which records they hold,a search facility is available to find which roll the records are on,but no records can be viewed online, you have to visit the LMA to do that. They do offer a search and copy facility for people who can't get,but they charge 'London' prices. Glen |

You don;t say what period for Indian births. After 1837 they may be in the GRO overseas indexes. You might also find them in the India Office records collection at The British Library in St. Pancras. nell |
