Can't Find In 1841/1851please Help!

Yep, i found those only trouble is checked 1861 and 1871 , and he is still a widower born Canterbury, whereas my John is married with 3 children in Frimley, born Middx by 1871 , I think he came down on a spaceship, sorry for a delay in replying ,have had trouble with the internet etc. Kim |

Kim this is probably a long shot but the head of this family on the 1851 census is a shoe maker? Got excited Saturday as got a new marriage cert. But having looked for ages eyes go squiffy. Looking for John Pursey born 1837/8 in City of London---- with parent Shoemaker also John Pursey. I've looked in Fleet where married 1863 and also Hampshire generally, I've looked in Surrey where he lived after marriage and London.------'-- I can only guess that either he made his father up or he didn't know him and just repeated his own details He also appears as a widower, but I've found him in Micheldever, Winchester 1861 a single 'cordwinder(shoemakr)' so he must hae married between censuses 1861 and marriage 1863 to be a widower. I have found him in Frimley in 1871/81/1901 census. Many thanks Kim |
