what a good point Sylvia, I dont know whey they dont let you, when I was just starting out, I laid it all out how I thought it would be easy to understand, in paragraphs etc and then it just lumped it all together making it impossible to read!!!

I type it all out in this box, highlight it all, control and x to cut it. Then type again 'Pls see below' - post message. Instantly go back in, add reply, in box control and v to paste it and then send. Done in a jiffy!!

This whole process could be avoided if GR would let you type in the message box in an orderly way instead of garbling everything together. Why dont they?? Sylvia.

I agree Fuzzy - I have suggested this before but not everyone sees the thread - what I do is: Type in the box - see below, then go down a couple of lines, type in the whole message, then just highlight it and cut. Then I post the thread, go immediately into 'reply', and paste the message in, then post. SSssoooo much quicker and no-one has to wait. Dea x

We all know that it is easier to add a reply for something that we want to set out so that people can read it more easily. I have sat at my computer though whilst people are obviously furiously typing away in a blind panic to get the info on a quickly as possible. For example, see below, give me a mo!! Ten minutes later I am still waiting to see what they want you to look at!! Here is a tip for people (apologies to those who already know). I minimise my link to Genes Reunited. Type in what I want to say in word and then highlight the text it by holding the left mouse button down and dragging from the beginning of the text to the end of the text you have written then click on the right hand mouse button and select copy. Go back into Genes and put in your first question/comment on the tips board. Select add reply and simply click on the right hand mouse button again and select paste. I find it takes all the panic out of trying to type as quickly as possible, so that you don’t keep peeps waiting. Hope this has been of some help to people xx
