I used the Hugh Wallis IGI batch numbers pages to home in on Ashton-under-Lyne + Wilde. I then narrowed it down in that batch by ''refining'' to James Wilde, with father James. There are two possibles on that basis (no guarantee of no others which are just not transcribed): (batch C005586) 1. JAMES WILDE - International Genealogical Index Gender: Male Christening: 13 MAY 1827 Saint Michael, Ashton Under Lyne (mother = Mary) 2. JAMES WILD - International Genealogical Index Gender: Male Christening: 29 APR 1832 Saint Michael, Ashton Under Lyne, (mother = Jane) Christine |

Does the occupation of the groom and his father not help at all when trying to find them in 1841? Post the details on here and see if anyone else can find them. Sam x |
