Reggie. Thank you for that - Yes he is one. The main thrust of the question is where was Elizabeth - alive or dead? in 1881. William was quite old and had been with mother and father on every census. He was the informant for his fathers death registration. Why him and not mother? We think he died in Toxteth Workhouse in 189?. Tks your interest. Keith |

Thanks Merry, sorry I'm late to the boards tonight. The house was a multi-occupancy one like many in those days. It would appear that it is just the Owen household which has gone missing. They had been at that address in 1861 and 1871, and as I said Edward died there (have the certificate) at the end of April 1881. Maybe his imminent death threw things awry and the form never got handed in. Tks again Keith Suzanne. The names I'm after are Edward Owen, Elizabeth Owen, William Owen and James Dickinson Owen. Tks |

Hve you found the address on the 1881 census? If not then ask for a lookup, they may just be mistranscribed somehow? Have you got them on previous censuses? If you want a fresh pair of eyes just give details of individuals. Suzanne x |

Edward Owen died 172 Upper Frederick Street, Liverpool end of April 1881. Death informant was Son, William Owen resident at same address. James Dickenson Owen should also be at the same address. However no entry for this household in the 1881 Census. Is there an electoral roll available anywhere for this period. Keith |
