I was looking for this family in 1841: John Turner 40 b ? Elizabeth 40 b Dorset William 17 b Dorset Elias 14 b Dorset Mary 13 b Dorset This is the family I found in Wiltshire HO 107/1169/7/9/11 JAMES Turner 40 b Wiltshire THIRZA 40 b WILTSHIRE William 15 b WILTSHIRE Elias 14 b WILTSHIRE THOMAS 12 b Wiltshire ELIZABETH 13 b WILTSHIRE MARY 1 b Wiltshire BOTH parents' names different from expected. (Elizabeth had died and John remarried) ALL children shown as born in Wiltshire, when at least the three eldest were born in Dorset. NAMES transposed for the daughters. The ONLY entry correct in all particulars is that for the wife (who was married as Theresa!) Can anyone beat this? |
