Please, where is the folio # on a census page?

Thanks Nell. All of the talk about Lost Cousins made me try it - and I couldn't do anything without all 3 sets of #s. Will give it another go now. Thanks again Anne |

Folio numbers are on the top of the actual census page - but only on the right hand page, so if you are looking at lefthand page it won't be on the sheet. Strictly speaking a folio is 2 pages. But if you look at either the bottom or extreme right of the image, the census reference is there - put there when the image was filmed. Thanks Jacqui I usually go straight for the image - never thought about the transcribers having to record all of that stuff. Duuhhh!! Anne |

Hi Anne They dont always seem to show up on the ancestry scans but they are usually right at the bottom margin. Also you look on an individuals record all the references are listed at the bottom Jacqui |
