Looks like the loss of the 'My Ancestors' page was not intentional - waiting to hear if the loss of the old tree programme is also a technical fault that will be fixed. I totally agree with Reggie - this Site is being run for the benefit of GR, not the Members. I liked the Old Tree, cos I had worked out how to do it. The New Tree wouldnt let me enter something or other, I forget what, now, but I found it very frustrating. I think GR needs more than a bit of a spring clean - what about a proper Tree programme, one on which you could enter cousin marriages would be good for a start. However, I suspect that they have little interest in improving anything, why should they, the money and the publicity keeps on rolling, despite the major shortcomings of this Site. Were it not for the invaluable help and friendship of the other Members of GR, I would leave this Site - it is a rip-off, in as much as it misrepresents itself, both to the media and to potential new members. Messages coming through but 'my ancestors' still not there. I am now also getting fed up - I don't know what I'm paying the money for... I can't either amend or update my gedcom due to the fact that I'm not on a pc and this has been going on for ages. I don't think I'll be renewing... despite the fact that I've had a lot of help from all you people out there... but I think GR should be putting more effort into communication! Carole

Dea, Yes they are still in 'My Relations' - but the facility to view more than 3 generations at a time has been removed - not a good move - and without warning too!! Looks like it's back to pen and paper for viewing extended trees!!!!!!!!!!! Maggie

Claire, Haven't had any probs with messages - yet - but then no one has tried to message me since 28 May. Stella, Will check out other thread. Very Unhappy Maggie!!!!! New tree has it's uses, but it's no substitute for the other ways of displaying info.

Hi Maggie I have just checked mine, BLANK , not good, what is going on lately , i've just been moaning on another tread about not getting emails from GR about people messageing us.

Just clicked on 'My Ancestors' and got a blank page - is it a blip - or have they been removed along with the old tree programme?? If so, that is definitely NOT a move for the better..... Anyone else lost their ancestors too?? Maggie
