Hi, sorry I got caught up yesterday in helping daughter with garden and have just got time to catch up on messages. Yes Maggie, I think what you have found looks very promising especially with the nephews living there. I have far to many Thomas's and James, it is confusing. Thanks to everybody for their help. Jennifer.

Jennifer I also found a birth for Thomas Diston at Gateshead, Sept. 1859 Ref. 10a/566. I also found the marriage for Ann Boe to James Diston. Maybe he used his middle name??

I have a couple Thomas Diston who married Ann Boe they were born around 1859 in Gateshead, County Durham. They had two Sons Thomas B. Diston 1882 and James B. Diston 1883 both born in Gateshead. Apparantely their Father has dissapeared and there Mother either married or lived with a bare fist boxer Jumper Jim Howe, who was quite famous in Gateshead. I cannot find them on the 1901 cencus or even a death for Thomas.
