THis is the area I am unsure about. Apatr from a number of wills in UK ( my more recent ancestors were poor so had nothing to leave- have yet to find any). How do I go about locating a will in the USA. One of my ancestors died of eating oysters- just wondered how I would find out if he left a will. lbw |

Hi there, Ancestry.com cover America---if you want to leave details i.e. name, place of birth, where in A merica etc. your ancestor was---I wil have a look for you. Ancestry .co.uk cover wills to a certain degree so assume full membership which includes the States should have some info. i am going offline till 4ish time...so will look then for you. ---Pam--- |

Hi Alfred Bradder died 9th January 1886 in Kansas Missouri - his wife then was Sarah Bradder who I beleive kept a boarding house. Children were Agnes 31.3 .1869 (married 3 years after fathers death) Frank born 1871married Augusta and had 3 children Joseph born 1874 married may died 1943 Larance born 1876 New York (no further details on her) Joseph born 1878 unknow might be the same as 1874 Alfred originally came from Nottingham where he had 12 children. Any information about him or his descenfants in Us woulsd be appreciated. lbw |

Hello ---- I have found following on ancestry.com Joseph Bradder age 44 --1920 US Federal Census. Living at Kansas City Ward 4 Jackson Missouri.( Joseph) Wife--Mary Bradder age 26. No children recorded. Frank Bradder 1930 US Federal Census. Kansas City Missouri---no children recorded --but a wife. Agnes Bradder ---immigration report states that she arrived in States in 1872 on a ship named CITY OF MONTREAL. Agnes also appears in Directories ---down as a Domestic. No sign of Larance Bradder. Nothing in Court -Land or Probate on any of them--which seems to indicate there are no wills. Hope this helps. --Pam-- |
