Oooops, forgot to leave the Ad-aware website address! http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/

Download the version of Ad-Aware, install it and update the defintions using the UPDATE button. Restart the PC in SAFE MODE and run the Ad-Aware scan. Follow the prompts to remove what it finds when scan is complete. Also, when done scan check in the PROGRAMS folder and manually remove any known spyware programs....in the results of the ADAWARE scan, any .exe programs mentioned are the ones that may have to be removed manually - remove the programs while in safe mode: 1. Click on START. 2. Click on CONTROL PANEL. 3. Click on ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS. 4. A list of programs on your PC will be listed - scroll and find the program to be removed, click on it once to hightlight the name of the program. 5. Click on REMOVE. 6. Follow the prompts to remove. Judy (Keep the Spywareblaster program; it does a different job than Ad-aware.)

If you have a legal version of Windows XP do a google for Windows Defender, it beats ALL other spyware programs hands down. Ron www.genealogyprinters*com

I think Spyware Blaster is designed to run in the background and catch nasties when they first try to get on to your computer, rather than for removing them after you are infected, at least that is how I use it. Dowmload either AdAware or Spybot. Both of these are designed to scan through all your files, looking for adware files. At the end of the scan you are given the cahnce to remove them.
