Merry, I've sent you a message. No, I'm not sure about the marriage except that a Arthur Ketely married a Mary Ann Pearce in 1897 in the same district and they had a daughter, Ellen (Arthur's sister's name) and a son Arthur Frederick(Frederick was Arhtur's brother's name). I know it's a leap of faith. If only I could get the person who is looking for this branch to reply to me I might work it out. Thanks.

I'm back....but you're not yet! I won't be back for a few hours now....... I've just quickly looked for births for Ellen and Arthur, and theough I have found some, they seem to all have different parents to those you were after, when I checked them on the 1901 census.......... Merry

I've just checked on 1881 census and Arthur matches exactly, doesn't he? Except for no wife and children...... Do you have birth certs for the children born in the late 1890's? Sorry, have to go out now...... Merry

Are you sure about Arthur's marital status? The one I found is single! Seems a bit of a co-incidence for all the other details, though you didn't say when and where Arthur was born. Merry

I’ve searched for ages for my great grandfather William Ketley. Just recently I found I had done the tree for a William who died as a baby. Then found the correct one. Have tried to piece together the rest of family. Mine came to Australia in 1874 and I have all the descendants of William. But I can’t find his brother Arthur. I have him until 1901 census. He should be with wife Mary Ann and children Ellen born 1897 and Arthur born 1900. They always been in Essex, so I’m wondering if they also came here. Also missing is Eliza Ketley born 1830 Great Waltham. I know she died in 1904. Several people have tried so am not expecting miracles. Thanks.
