Really? When you next speak to them could you ask if they know of Mienies? I think it's a few miles to the West.

It's mentioned in the Illustrated London News, February 20, 1847. It's just a passing mention. An 1881 census enumerator wrongly put my ancestors' births as the Minories, a place in East London, but I know they came from Ireland. I'm convinced it's a place that sounds like Minories. (Hi Marion. Been very busy on a business tender for a couple of weeks but back in harness now!)
