Help with data base please!

Has anyone experience with setting up a data base for a one name study??? I`m beavering away with Excel and wondering is this the best way...what do other people do? Can anyone give me pointers please?? Do you know of any helpful sites?

Have you contacted the Guild of One Name Studies? I imagine they will have lots of ideas to save you from ''re-inventing the wheel''. Christine PS - If you can't find it easily by googling, there 's almost certainly a link on www.ukbmd.org.uk (via the ''ONS'' icon in the left-hand menu bar)
