Hi Just seen this on ebay, have copied and pasted -: THE BIBLE Cambridge 1887 Old family bible in fair condition (front cover is missing). Towards the back is a handwritten list of the HURST family (1874-1910). Samuel Hurst (13 Jan 1874) Ellen Scorah (28 Feb 1875) married 14 May 1893 (1894 see below) Children of the above: Amy Elizabeth Hurst (31 Aug 1894) Emily Ann Hurst (12 Oct 1896)Samuel Hilton Hurst (1 Dec 1898)Mary Hurst (26 Mar 1902) James Hilton Hurst (24 Aug 1903)Ellen (Nellie) Hurst (7 Sep1907) Gwendoline Marguret Hurst (25 Sep 1909/1910) I have done a little research into this family who appear to originate from the Nottinghamshire area (Worksop etc). Samuel and Ellen were married in Worksop in 1894 (not 1893 as listed in this Bible). At the time Ellen would have been six months pregnant with their first child, and their daughter Amy was born three months later. By the time of the 1901 census they were living at 7 Portland Street, Clowne, Derbyshire. Give me a shout if I can help anymore (How Sad)!! Janey
