Hi Lou and Shirley. Thank you both very much for your help. I used to be very good about maintenance, but stopped when things were hectic here. Once I resumed using my computer, I didn't continue to do the proper maintenance. :( I tried to defrag last week and it wouldn't let me. Don't remember the wording -- I will try again tonight and if I have the same results, maybe someone can tell me how to resolve the issue. Thank you both very much! It is really appreciated! |

presume you dont do any maintenace work then? you should delete old tempory internet files regularly and do disk defrag. Go to Start> all programs> Accessories>System tools>disk cleanup & follow the instructions. The do the same again & on System tools click on disk defragment & follow the instructions. deleting old files & defraging will speed up your system(PC I mean LOL!!)To delete cookies you go to tools at the top of this page.then internet options ,click on delete cookies. But i do the disk clean up & defrag on a regular basis you need to do the disk defrag if you do lots of downloads |

Go to My Computer Click on C Drive with right button for drop down bar On the drop down bar click on properties Click on Dick Clean up. That should get rid of all the temporay files. |
