I am back sorry no he is not alive and thanks for the information and did mean 1863. I think the information she gave me is all she has apart from he had a son called Edward knight. |

1837online have an Oversea's section ...... but not sure if this is purely for the 'services' (Army/Navy etc) Elaine ;-) You referr to him as if he is still alive ?? ie: he IS a BS .... did you mean 1863 or 1963 |

Where you look depends on what you are looking for. If you want birth records, it might be in the overseas section of the GRO birth indexes. Or alternatively there may be records in the India Office collection at The British Library in St Pancras. Do you have any ideas what he did or where he lived? |

I am trying to trace Walter Henry Knight born in india in 1863 for a friend in Australia does any one know where I would look. He is a British subject apparently. I have to dash out so forgive me If I dont reply. Thanks any ideas would be appreciated. |
