Hi guys, I have some family from the USA and i am finding it difficult to get anywhere with it. Can anyone help me at all? The information i have is: My Great grandfather William Llyod Thomas Junior born 1918 duplin county (North Carolina) USA. He married a Janet Mallet born in Banbury UK 1922 and they had 2 children together- my nan Vivienne and a sone Wendell. What i don't know is any family above my great grandfather William. I know his dads name was William Llyod Thomas senior and his mother i think was Vivianne (not sure of spelling) Johnson. This is all i have and i know it's not a lot to go by but here's hoping! Thanks Jess

Sue kindly sent me a copy of the USA census but i'm finding it very difficult to read. Is there anyone who is quite good at reading this very elegant but very hard to read writing. I'd love to know what it says! Also how easy is it to trace family abroad- is it more difficult to get hold of certificates etc. And how can we search records like we do over here? Thanks Jess
