Found my prisoner in the records at Northampton Record Office where the staff were very helpful indeed. In the prison register, under 'Education' it says 'Impt'. Any idea what this means? I'm guessing at 'Improvement' - he probably went to church 'improvement' school - but it's only a guess. Anyone any better ideas? Maureen |
