how do i use igi and where do i find it, have heard other users saying they have used it and found out info..have been onto family search site but cant get the info i want. i want to look at a Joseph simcock b1843 norton in the moors staffordshire...any help appreciated sam |

Hi Sam, This is the site you want, I think. http://www.familysearch.org/ Click 'search' on top tabs, then click on International Genealogy Index - on left hand side, then fill out the search boxes... Hope this is what you were asking for?...lol Sue |

If you want to see the baptism/christening details then if they are on the site you should find them via the normal search. An alternative is to google 'igi batch numbers'.This will give you links to searching (by parish) the counties that have been transcribed.It helps if you know the parish you need,but you can search each county by parish (a bit of a slog but often worth a look). Some of the records go way later than 1837,some not. Glen |

hiya sam, try this site, info is provided by IGI but is really easy to use just google 'hugh wallis' the first hit is what you need, click on it and have a go!! happy hunting julie |
